The Velvet Spoon is a private dinner series hosted in Chicago by Brittini, a creator, dreamer, and self-taught cook who has spent years feeding people as her most honest act of love.
These dinners are not about a restaurant experience. They are about community. About gathering with people who value presence, who appreciate the details, who understand that a good meal shared with the right people becomes a memory you carry.
Every guest at this table was invited intentionally. Every course has a theme and a purpose behind it. The Velvet Spoon is Brittini's way of pouring back into the people who matter most to her. A space where strangers become familiar, where food opens conversation, and where everyone leaves fuller than when they arrived.
Never more than 15 guests. Every seat is filled with intention. You will know the people across from you by the time you leave.
Each dinner has a cultural narrative at its center. A geography, a tradition, a season. The menu is built around it from first course to last.
No shortcuts. Every dish is thought through. Guests receive a digital menu at the table that goes beyond the plate and into the story behind the food.
A Haitian-inspired rooftop dinner for twelve. The flavors are bold, the music is low, and the evening unravels exactly as it should — slowly, joyfully, without urgency.
Quarterly dinners for an intimate group of people who value community, presence, and food. The Village is how you stay connected to every moment of it.
