The Velvet Spoon is a private dining club hosted in Chicago by Brittini Duncan — a writer, strategist, and self-taught cook who has spent years feeding people as an act of love.
This isn't a restaurant. It's an experience carefully composed for 10 to 15 people who come with open hearts and empty plates. Each dinner has a theme, a story, and a menu built from scratch — designed not just to feed, but to move.
Every seat is curated. Every course has intention. And every guest leaves knowing something they didn't know when they arrived.
"Accessible luxury means the table is beautiful, the food is extraordinary, and everyone at it feels like they belong there."— Brittini Duncan, Founder
Never more than 15 guests. Every seat is intentional. You will know the people across from you by the time you leave.
Each dinner has a cultural narrative at its center — a geography, a tradition, a season. The menu is built around it from first course to last.
No shortcuts. Every dish is thought through. Guests receive a digital menu at the table that goes beyond the plate — into the story behind the food.
A Haitian-inspired rooftop dinner for twelve. The flavors are bold, the music is low, and the evening unravels exactly as it should — slowly, joyfully, without urgency.
Two ways to be part of The Velvet Spoon — from a first taste to a permanent place at the table.
